Each year, Residents are mailed two free parking permits in late April. If you have more than two vehicles and need additional permits, they may be purchased for $10 each. Vehicles must be registered to a Deephaven address.

You may come to City Hall and purchase parking permits in person (cash or check only, no additional fees).

If you live outside of Deephaven, you may purchase Beach and Boat Launch Parking Permits. These permits allow you to park in areas marked "permit only." The costs of Non-Resident Parking Permits are $60 for "beaches only" and $120 for the "beach and boat launch" permit, which allows parking at the Carson's Bay Boat Launch as well as the beaches and parks.

Non-Resident parking permits may be purchased two ways. Pick which is most convenient for you:

In Person at City Hall by cash or check only. Complete the Non-Resident Application Form at City Hall to get your parking permit.

Deephaven Beach & Boat Launch Parking Permits may be purchased at City Hall after April 22, 2024.

Parking permits may be purchased in person at City Hall or by mail, by cash or check only. Complete the form, which is  available at City Hall, and bring or mail it with payment to:

If you come to City Hall in person, you'll have your parking permits within minutes. If requesting permits by mail or using the silver dropbox in the City Hall parking lot, allow up to a week for processing and USPS delivery.

The parking permit sticker must be placed on the outside of the window, on the driver's side of the vehicle in the farthest back window corner.

Convertibles, Jeeps, or trucks with removable tops should place the permit sticker in the bottom left corner of the front windshield.

Motorcycles and mopeds are not required to have parking permits.

If you need to transfer your parking permit from one car to another, you have two options:

• Free replacement:  Peel off as much of the sticker as you can. Mail or bring it to City Hall to receive a free replacement sticker.
• $10 replacement:  If you do not have the original parking permit sticker, there is a $10 fee to get a new one.

This applies to Residents and Non-Residents.

Free on-street parking is available. Before you park on the street, just make sure to check the signage and avoid areas where there are No Parking or Parking by Permit Only signs.

There is also free parking for vehicles with trailers in the unpaved lot between the paddleball courts and bike trail near City Hall at Cottagewood Road and Minnetonka Blvd.
