Public Hearing & Public Comment on Body Worn Cameras

The Deephaven Police Department is in the process of considering and reviewing Body Worn Cameras for use by the Officers in the Deephaven Police Department.

As a requirement to approving the use of body worn cameras, the Deephaven Police Department is encouraging review of the proposed Body Camera Policy and will receive public comment on both the Body Worn Cameras and Body Worn Camera Policy at the Monday, May 20th, 2024 Council Meeting. The City of Deephaven and Deephaven Police Department believe the Community would benefit from Body Worn Camears while performing law enforcement duties, but the potential benefits and challenges should be discussed and reviewed with the Council and our Community.
